Hello Holidays! | Christmas Decor
Hello and Happy Wednesday! Today I am so excited to post all of my home decor items!! I have been looking forward to decorating the house for Christmas for so long now! We finished building our home and moved in last February so I wasn't able to decorate like this last year! Below I have separated each room (living room, dining room, kitchen, entry way, etc) and have linked as much as I can! I bought a lot of items right after Christmas last year out of excitement and anticipation of decorating our new home a year later (LOL) so many of the items were from last season, but I still wanted to share to give you all ideas of how you could incorporate items into your own home! Enjoy!
TREE | POINSETTIAS | BIRDS | ORNAMENTS | Other little decoration options HERE, HERE & HERE
My mom is a legit master of decorating trees and wreaths (she made that wreath hanging in our big window!) I have started to learn and take after her decorating tactics. First of all, a good tree is all smoke and mirrors, I'm pretty sure there are more ornaments shoved and placed in the tree than actually hanging. To make a tree look full, you just sort of have to place items where you think they are needed and eventually it will all come together. *TIP: to get pretty decor pieces to fill your tree on a dime, buy flowers and garnish in bulk or bouquets from Michael's and pull the pieces apart and you can get 4-3 different pieces for the price of one! (Yes, that's Roscoe on the couch making his modeling debut)
KITCHEN ISLAND:
LANTERNS | CRANBERRY TREES (Large, Medium, Small ) | CAPRI BLUE CANDLE | WHITE CANDLE | CANDLE HOLDER
Our island is HUGE I mean, you could probably fit an air mattress on it if you tried haha! That being said I always have to have a centerpiece big enough to make it look complete and not empty. I keep those lanterns on the island year round and decorate around them seasonally. I want to say I bought the lanterns from a store around here a little over a year ago, but THESE are very similar and I love the color as well! Also I know I've talked about Capri Blue candles in THIS post, but HERE is a smaller version that still infuses the whole main area of the house!
DECOR PIECES THROUGHOUT LIVING ROOM, ENTRY WAY, NOOK, ETC:
NUTCRACKER | VASE | ORNAMENTS | DECORATIVE TREE | GLASS BOWL | SQUIRREL SLEIGH (old- cute idea HERE) | SNOWMAN | "No Place like Home" CANVAS | STOCKINGS (so cute!) | FIREPLACE ( Full website HERE)
These little nick- knacks are items I have all over the main living room, we have shelving around the TV that's always fun to decorate during the different seasons. THIS nutcracker I picked up from Target last week and it is SO CUTE! I'm slightly obsessed with sparkles, so that could be why I love it so much...oh and it was only 10 bucks...
Our built in cubby in one of the last pictures was the perfect place for THIS canvas. I also added some swags around it because it felt a bit empty.
Ok, so I know this isn't a Christmas decoration, but it was an early Christmas present! My parents gave us our gift early this year and I am so happy they did because it is THE coolest thing ever! It fits perfectly within our wall shelving and is the perfect proportion under our TV. I was curious as to whether it would actually put off heat since it uses ethanol to ignite and is just a little strip opening that gives off flames, but it puts off SO much heat! So much so that I'm actually kind of worried with it being under the TV, probably going to get a little piece of metal to slide over some of the top to keep the heat down. (PUT THIS ON YOUR CHRISTMAS LIST!) ps sorry for the terrible picture quality, it gets dark so quickly these days :( )
DINNER TABLE:
I know the deer linked above isn't the exact centerpiece, however, add some tulle around it, a few poinsettias and some candles and you've got yourself an awesome DIY centerpiece for your dinner table!
OUTDOOR DECOR:
My mom made this wreath (isn't it AMAZING) she literally made it from scratch and added in swags and poinsettias and glittery pine cones. We just went to Michael's and picked out a variety of separate decorative pieces and she did her magic and turned it into that! However, if you want to buy one pre-made, THIS wreath is very similar along with THIS one or you could always add in poinsettias and decoration like THESE to your own! Also- shout out to my amazing husband for decorating the house with beautiful sparkling icicles lights!
I hope you enjoyed this Christmas Decoration post and are now in the Holiday Spirit- I have been decorating each room and bathroom with little items as well, I'll most likely put those up soon too, but I wanted to keep it to the main living areas today!
Thank you all for stopping by...
XOXO
